Mion merges engineering, new technology, sculpture, and environmental sensibilities into groundbreaking sandals for amphibious athletes. The hard part is finding where they compromised in this blending. The easy part is wearing them! Roughly half of our staff who tried these spontaneously began pretending they were in zero-gravity as they walked.
Maybe they are called Mion - pronounced 'My Own' - because the footbeds conform to the shape of your feet after about 12 hours of wear.
Mion reflects the continuing quest by Martin Keen to develop the best and most innovative footwear while minimizing environmental impacts. Energy used in their production is certified renewable-source by Green-E, and on-site solar provides 60% of the power for their distribution center. Additionally, Mion's proprietary direct injection-molding technique allows a remarkable 98% of the weight of raw materials to go into the finished shoes.
